Remembering my schoolmates

Hi everybody,

I am currently in Berlin enjoying the cold and rainy weather... ^^
Actually I am very happy to be here with my mom and my little brother. My last visit was eight months ago and I am realizing that it's been quite a long time.

I found the year book of my graduation year (2004) on the attic. I always found the commentaries very childish and immature - especially those about the teachers.
These are the (anonymous) commentaries my beloved schoolmates left on my page:


- "liebt Hamlet und teilt ihre krankhaften Interessen gerne mit Fr. Webers"
= loves Hamlet and likes to share her abnormal interests with Mrs Webers (my English teacher)

- Johanna+Mutter=Latein = Johanna+mother=Latin

- Mauerblume = wallflower

- freundlich = friendly, kind

- unauffällig, aber ganz nett = inconspicuous, but kind of nice

- sollte mal ein Solarium besuchen = should go sunbathing

- nett, doch irgendwie vom anderen Stern = nice, but not from this planet somehow

- naja (rather disapproving statement)


Wow... at least I did not seem to provoke a lot of bad reactions. There were people who received heaps of comments with some really cruel ones among them as well. I just want to straighten something out:
My interests are NOT abnormal and I don't know who wrote that nonsense!
Yes, my mother did help me with Latin, but that was the exception, she did not do my homework or something. In fact, it was the only subject I had any help with.
I looked after my horse almost every day back then, so I really had a lot of fresh air and I would not waste my money and time on something as braggy as a solarium!
Not from this planet... I'd really like to know what is so strange about me. I guess I am just not very good at dealing with people.

All in all there was no sense of community among my schoolmates. We didn't even manage to produce a graduation T-shirt.
